The French National Archives is screening Laurent Grasso’s film ‘Élysée’ at Hôtel de Soubise on the occasion of the Nuit européenne des musées 2016 (‘European Museum Night 2016’). In the context of the exhibition “Le Secret de l’État” (‘The State Secret’), Laurent Grasso was solicited to create a film on the visibility of power, specifically the objects that surround its execution. His film ‘Élysée’, shot in the President of the Republic’s office, was initially planned to be exhibited halfway through the show; its shooting, however, was delayed due to the 13 November 2015 attacks. Bearing in mind the context, the National Archives wished to maintain their commitment to producing the film and having it publicly broadcasted.
‘Elysée’ will be screened in the cinema room (ground floor) on 21 May from 6pm to midnight. (Free entry).
