Edouard Malingue Gallery is pleased to announce Laurent Grasso’s latest, ongoing group exhibition, ‘Gravity. Imaging the Universe after Einstein’ at MAXXI – National Museum of XXI Century Arts. Investigating the connections and the profound analogies between art and science, this exhibition recounts the developments of the theory of relativity in the current vision of the universe and the fascinating spin-offs it is still producing in the field of art. Through the involvement of international artists, the exhibition pays tribute to Einstein, the scientist who radically altered our knowledge and perception of the universe.
Curated by Luigia Lonardelli, Vincenzo Napoleon, Andrea Zanini along with the scientific advice of Giovanni Amelino-Camelia, this exhibition presents a journey through space with scientific installations, historical relics, and stimulated experiments by modern and contemporary artists. Focusing on the history of modern physics, on view here is Grasso’s massive installation, ‘Horn Perspective’ (2009).
