Edouard Malingue Gallery is pleased to present the works of Turkish artist Nuri Kuzucan and American artist Jeremy Everett
Nuri Kuzucan (b. 1971, Turkey) depicts, from multiple perspectives, our complex surroundings: whether from an aerial or panoramic viewpoint, each of his paintings manifest layers and folds of interior and exterior spaces. Kuzucan gained a Major in Painting as well as a Science Masters from the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Istanbul. Kuzucan’s paintings have been the focus of multiple solo exhibitions in Turkey and group exhibitions around the world, from Basel to Berlin and Dubai. His work has additionally been exhibited in public collections such as the Pera Museum in Istanbul and is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art Istanbul. Jeremy Everett (b. 1979, USA) creates work that stems from a centre of intuition and subtly evolves beyond process and creation; neither never fully created nor complete, its significance is in its evolving state between beauty and decay. Everett is a highly celebrated young emerging artist who has held exhibitions in New York, Paris, Monaco, Berlin, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. Most notably, his work was included in an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, for which Phaidon produced a catalogue. Everett’s work has been extensively supported by art critics and been deliberated in l’Officiel de l’Art, Muse Magazine, The New York Times, The Smithsonian Magazine, Flash Review, Modern Painters and ArtReview, amongst others.
