Sun Xun

Group Exhibition - [29.10.17 - 29.01.18]
Mass Energy 1862 HBC Contemporary Art Exhibition

Edouard Malingue Gallery is delighted to share Sun Xun’s latest group show, ‘Mass Energy 1862 HBC Contemporary Art Exhibition at Shipyard 1862, Shanghai. On view will be Sun Xun’s 3D animation, ‘Time Spy’ (2016).

Xun illustrates in his oeuvre, themes that revolve around recent and past histories that are often times portrayed by collaging fastidious artistry with a variety of materials from ink drawings and charcoal to woodcuts and animations. His art speaks of the past and the present with juxtapositions of perceptible and kaleidoscopic images, that blur the lines between painting, drawing, installation, and animation all of which can be witnessed in ‘Time Spy’ (2016).

‘HBC Contemporary Art Exhibition’ opens on 29 October 2017 through 29 January 2018 at Shipyard 1862, Lujiazui HARBOUR CITY, Shanghai.
